Dandelions galore at Humber Woodland!

A lovely Spring Planting Day. It was great to be able to gather in small groups and chat for the first time in a while.

Following the Prime Minister's announcement this week, regarding the timetable for coming out of lockdown, we have decided it will be best if we delay our Spring Planting Day for one week.

For the third year running Humber Woodland of Remembrance has been awarded The Best Natural Burial Ground in the West Midlands!

Last year we were kindly donated a lovely big owl box! We have just put it up in the shelter belt and we're hoping it will be well used!

Humber Woodland has been looking so beautiful in the recent frosty weather we have had! And as we enter lockdown 3, we are open for funerals as per Government Guidelines.

We had a beautiful day for wreath making this year, and it was lovely to see so many friendly faces! We were in our shelter in a socially distanced manner, which worked really well. We even had some 'little helpers'! We are over the moon to have raised £190 for [...]

Humber Woodland is a peaceful place to sit and reflect, we have some benches and logs scattered around. We have had some lovely weather this Summer, but we would love a drop of rain. We have started to strim and scythe Humber Woodland, and will be working our way around [...]

Humber Woodland has been enjoying the sunshine, but also rather enjoyed the rain! Everything is growing well, including these beautiful Oxeye Daisies!

We are delighted with our new shelter, and we hope you will like it too! The shelter can be used for holding funerals, or just as a peaceful place to get out of the rain on a wet day. We like to think it blends in with its surroundings, it [...]
