April 2013 sees the Tenth Anniversary of the establishment of Humber Woodland of Remembrance. Ten years since our new woodland was planted, to provide a place for green burial in our lovely Herefordshire countryside.
Many more trees have been added to the woodland and wild flowers are spreading across the field, providing habitat for many butterflies, birds and small mammals.
You can join us at our Open Day on Saturday 27th April. Visitors are invited to come and see the growing Woodland for themselves and to learn more about green burial. We will be open from 11am to 4pm at Humber Woodland and The Hop Kiln at Risbury Court to show you around and answer any questions.
We would like to invite all those, who have a loved one buried at Humber Woodland of Remembrance, to join us for tea or coffee and light refreshments on Sunday, 28th April. We will be holding a small ceremony at Humber Woodland at 10.30 am, when you would be welcome to join us, and afterwards at The Hop Kiln for light refreshments.
We will also have a selection of wild flowers from PlantWild, to purchase and plant on your loved ones’ graves.
